WHY WE BUILT IT
Work English deserves better than a translator tab
Most tools fix the sentence you already wrote in English. None of them help with the part that actually costs time: saying what you mean, in the tone the situation needs, without a colleague checking whether it sounds rude. We thought that should be one editor, not five browser tabs and a Slack DM to a native-speaking coworker. That’s Copynote.

The product is opinionated on purpose.
Meaning comes before grammar
Fixing the sentence you already managed to write in English is the easy 20%. The hard part is saying what you meant in the first place — so we start there, not with a red squiggly line.
Writing in your language is not a shortcut, it’s the right order
Thinking in one language and writing in another, at the same time, is where clarity gets lost. Draft in the language you think in, then translate the meaning — not the words.
Your vocabulary should stay yours
A generic rewrite that erases your product names and your team’s phrasing isn’t help, it’s friction. Terms you save should be respected, not “corrected” into something blander.
Work text is confidential by default
An email to a client, a report with numbers that aren’t public yet — this isn’t practice text. We don’t train models on it, and you can delete it.

Copynote.app is a product of Writence. Copynote is the front built specifically for people writing work English as a second language.
Why a separate site instead of one brand?
Someone writing a client email has different needs and a different vocabulary than a student writing a dissertation or a general ESL learner. A dedicated front lets us speak to work writing directly instead of burying it inside a broader product.
Is the product the same as Diglot?
It runs on the same backend and shares core capabilities. Copynote leads with business and work writing; the underlying app is the one at app.diglot.ai.
